Now you can try this French delicacy at home or send it as a very special gift.
A French delicacy for over a century, Garlic Butter Escargots offer a truly superb flavor that is complemented by the soft, chewy meat that melts in your mouth. The classic escargot recipe calls for sautéing escargots in a delicate sauce comprised of garlic, herbs, and butter. That’s exactly the escargot recipe we followed. You’ll receive escargots stuffed in the shell in the classic tradition of this sophisticated favorite. You simply heat and serve these luscious appetizers to make a dazzling presentation. Add some bread for dipping and, voila, you have the perfect beginning to a truly memorable gathering.
What's Included
When you order, you'll receive a 4.4 oz tray with 12 frozen Garlic Butter Seasoned Escargots.
Preparation & Handling
Our escargots are a cooked and ready-to-eat item. Once thawed, they can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days. Frozen storage is recommended for up to four months.
To heat, simply place them on a baking sheet in a 400°F oven for ten minutes without letting the sauce bubble out of the shell. Serve them hot with French bread.
Escargots make for a fun and interesting hors d'oeuvre. Try serving them at your next special gathering as a sure crowd pleaser or as a great start to a romantic dinner.
Item Details and Quality
Some species of escargots (such as the one we offer) are highly prized in cooking. We pride ourselves in offering a consistently high level of quality in this delicacy. This century old culinary classic continues to grow in popularity every year not only with dignitaries and celebrities, but also with those who have a taste for the better things in life.
From Poland and Greece, approximately 25,000 to 30,000 tons of escargots are imported each year. Poland is the primary provider of Burgundy escargots while Greece is better known for offering Gray escargots.
Escargots are raised in controlled environments under stringent conditions.
