Your Atlantic salmon fillets will be delivered fresh and should be refrigerated immediately upon arrival. Fresh salmon can be safely refrigerated for up to three days. Be sure to wrap them tightly in plastic wrap to prevent drying. If you prefer, you can place them in a plastic food storage bag or airtight container and freeze them for up to four months. Salmon is ideal for broiling and grilling. It is also exceptional baked. To bake or broil salmon portions, preheat the oven to 400 degrees, drizzle a baking pan with olive oil, place the salmon in the pan, and top with butter. Add your favorite seasonings such as dill sprigs, lemon pepper, seasoned salt, or teriyaki sauce. Bake for 10 minutes per inch of thickness.
To grill, season first, then grill salmon fillets for approximately 5-7 minutes per side, depending on thickness. You may choose to brush a marinade over the salmon while cooking to prevent dryness. Salmon should turn a light pink color, and flake easily when done. If you have a meat thermometer, the internal temperature in the center of the fillet should reach 145ºF.
