Ingredients:
1/2 lb Crabmeat
Melba Toast Rounds - see notes for another serving suggestion
¾ cup evaporated milk
2 Tbsp flour
pepper to taste
¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
pimento strips, if desired
Directions:
1. Heat the oven to 400°F.
2. In a small pan, add the milk, flour and pepper. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens.
3. Remove from heat. Stir in the Crabmeat and cheese.
4. Mound the Crabmeat mixture onto the Melba Toast.
5. Place on a baking sheet. Bake for 5-7 mintues. Garnish with pimento strips.
Notes:
In place of the Melba Toast try this:
10 pieces of Sandwich bread, toasted
Remove crusts and cut into your favorite shapes, (hearts, stars, diamonds, circles, fish)
