Ingredients:
1 lb Gorton's Jumbo (21/25) Uncooked Shrimp, thawed
1 egg
1/8 cup water
1/4 cup honey
2 cups finely chopped nuts (pecans, walnuts, chestnuts, or peanuts)
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1. In a small bowl mix egg, water, honey, salt and pepper. Set aside.
2. Carefully butterfly cut shrimp - see notes.
3. Dip shrimp in egg wash, shaking off excess.
4. Place shrimp in ground nuts coating both sides.
5. Place shrimp on lightly greased pan. Bake at 350°F for 8-12 mintues.
Notes:
To butterfly cut shrimp: split shrimp 3/4 of the way down the center. Press gently to open the split to form a butterly shape.
Tail can be removed or left on.
This recipe can be doubled for 2 lbs Gorton's Jumbo Shrimp.
